SWRO Project in Oman For Veolia
| User | Veolia |
| Total Capacity | 800M3/Day |
| RO Process Description | MMF+SWRO |
| Plant Location | Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, Oman |
| Application | Desalination Plant |
| Date commissioned | 2022 |
The Sharqiyah region, situated on the eastern coast of the Sultanate of Oman, is suffering water stress all over the year round. As a result of drought and over-exploitation of underground resources, groundwater has to be protected and spared as much as possible. Nevertheless, the 600 ,000 inhabitants of the Sharqiyah region have to be daily supplied with drinking water. Therefore, PAEW has awarded Veolia with a contract to build, own and operate the reverse osmosis desalination plant. The contract awarded covers the construction and operation of a 30 million m3 per year (80,000 m3/day) desalination plant.

- Our project is still in normal operation with its excellent quality and stable product water supply
- Reasonable equipment integration and exquisite appearance
- The equipment material is highly corrosion-resistant and leads every detail
- No temporary changes at the construction site and no delays in the construction period
ROCKERHILL Containerized RO desalination equipment is a perfect design in water treatment technology. Designed for all parts that fit within standard shipping 20'ft/40'ft containers, these systems offer unparalleled flexibility and convenience. Their modular design allows for easy transportation and rapid deployment, making them ideal for remote locations and temporary setups.
At the heart of these systems lies advanced reverse osmosis technology, capable of producing high-quality freshwater from seawater with remarkable efficiency. Through a series of filtration processes, contaminants are removed, leaving behind clean, potable water ready for consumption or industrial use.

Advantages of Containerized Design
The containerized design of desalination equipment brings forth a multitude of benefits, especially in the context of Sri Lanka power plant:

Transportation Ease
Traditional desalination plants often require extensive on-site construction, leading to prolonged project timelines and increased costs. In contrast, containerized systems can be easily transported via standard shipping methods, minimum site civil works, site time and workers cost, expediting project completion.
Minimized Site Work
The modular nature of containerized equipment minimizes the need for extensive site preparation and construction. With pre-assembled components housed within a compact enclosure, installation time is significantly reduced, allowing for swift integration into existing infrastructure.

Applications of SWRO
The versatility of containerized desalination equipment extends beyond the realm of
- Irrigation
- Power generation
- Construction Sites
- Hospitality Sector
- Industrial Facilities
